1.
I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high over hills When all at once I saw a crowd A host of golden daffodils Beside the lake, beneath the trees Flut'ring and dancing in the breeze Continuous as the stars that shine And twinkle on the milky way And stretched in never-ending line Along the margin of the bay Ten thousand saw I at a glance Tossing their heads in sprightly dance The waves beside them danced But they out-did with glee A poet could not but be gay, I gazed and thought what wealth The show had brought to me Often when on my couch I lie In vacant or pensive mood They flash upon that inward eye Which is the bliss of solitude And then my heart with pleasure fills And dances with the daffodils

about

These piece were written to be performed in Nepal by a group of Nursing Students from Birmingham City University. The brief was to arrange a hymn and write an original composition for them to perform whilst at Base Camp.

The original pieces are for choir and piano, but those presented here have been arranged for instruments.
